March, 2002

I took the following photo's of various locations around
Laguna Beach in March, 2002.

My friend Sam Robertson was going to the Diedrich's Coffee
of Laguna Beach to do some reading, and I tagged along.
It was late afternoon, and we stayed past sunset, so the
photo's look warm, and there are a lot of shadow.

I've had lunch with various relatives and friends
(Mom, Mark, Serge, Sam) at this restaurant.  It has
an outdoor cafe area with a nice view of the beach.
The "Greeter" (note statue) was a historical figure
of Laguna Beach.

painting of Lower Manhattan, New York City, featuring the
World Trade Center buildings.  If I were cynical I'd think the
store owner was trying to capitalize on a national tragedy.
The irony is: that would be the American way!
